Planning Audience Response and Voting System Integration
Map the application and data flow
- Identify the participant device, receiver or reader, host application and data destination.
- Specify identifiers, required fields, response timing and report outputs.
- Define which software controls the session and how operators handle exceptions.
- Clarify storage, access, retention and deletion requirements with the project owner.
Request current SDK or API documentation
SunVote publicly describes SDK integration and ODM/OEM customization. For the campus card package, the site also describes an API. Request current documentation for your chosen model and workflow, including supported platforms, interface versions, licensing terms, examples and support arrangements. These should be confirmed for the specific project.
Separate hardware customization from software integration
Describe branding, appearance, language and device configuration needs separately from software interfaces and data handling. Ask which requirements are supported as standard and which require development, then agree on deliverables and acceptance evidence.
Use a small integration proof of concept
- Connect representative hardware to the intended host environment.
- Verify participant identifiers and the required response or attendance data.
- Test reconnection, incomplete submissions and error handling relevant to the workflow.
- Confirm the output can be consumed by the destination system and record the result.
Provide a clear project brief
Send SunVote the application, target country or market, estimated participant count, host platform, proposed hardware, required data fields and integration goals. Request a documented configuration and project scope before wider procurement.
